LINEAR.CO.ID | ACEH TIMUR - The East Aceh Police have successfully secured hundreds of cannabis plants in a resident's garden located in Seunebok Peunteut Village, Peudawa District, East Aceh Regency.
The East Aceh Police Chief, AKBP Andy Rahmansyah, S.I.K., stated that the discovery of the narcotics plants began with the arrest of a cannabis dealer in the Idi Rayeuk area on Monday, April 3, 2023, night.
"After an investigation, the suspect revealed that the 18 ready-to-distribute cannabis packages were from BA, a resident of Peudawa District," said the Police Chief on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Upon receiving the information, early this morning, the East Aceh Police Narcotics Unit went to BA's location, but the suspect, who was aware of the arrival of the officers, fled.
"It is suspected that the suspect (BA) fled upon knowing our officers' arrival," said the Police Chief.
However, the police found cannabis plants with varying heights planted by the suspect in the garden next to his house, hidden among vegetable plants.
"We have secured 131 cannabis plants," said the Police Chief.
In addition, the police also secured evidence in the form of a sack containing 4.1 (four point one) kilograms of dried cannabis leaves.
The cannabis plants were then uprooted by the East Aceh Police Chief, accompanied by Kabagops Kompol Yusuf Hariadi, S.H.,M.Si, Kabag SDM Kompol Marzuki, Kasat Samapta AKP Irwanysah Nasution, Kasat Lantas Iptu Krisna Hadi Widyanto, S.T.K.,S.I.K., Kasatres Narkoba Iptu Yudha Parasatya, S.H., Kapolsek Peudawa Ipda Hendra Kurniawan, KBO Satresnarkoba Ipda Safwadi Nour, S.H., Babinsa Koramil 16/PDW, and Geuchik Gampong Seuneubok Peunteut Darwis.
After the cannabis plants were uprooted, they were taken to the East Aceh Police Station for further investigation.
